ACTIVATING YOUR ANTING ANTING
The Anting—Anting is an indigenous Philippine amulet believed to protect its wearer. Inspired by the cultural cues of our ancestors, these charms are an extension of the Filipino belief that everyday objects are imbued with symbols to heal, protect, strengthen, and manifest. MAAARI’s Anting—Anting Collection is our version of this safeguarding talisman—an homage to the ancestral spirits that guide us. The charms in this collection are affirmations we strive to instill in our day to day.

Rituals allow us to enter the mythical time between the dream world and the waking world. Here is a simple ritual to activate your Anting —Anting.
Create a clear space using your favorite incense or other cleansing tool. Close your eyes and take three deep breaths, imagining your body like a tree rooted deep into the center of the earth. A pillar of light surrounds you on all sides and extends from the crown of your head up into the cosmos. There is no way of doing this wrong. Just flow with your imagination and when you feel ready write:
* An intention for yourself
* An intention for your ancestors
* An intention for the collective
Afterwards, hold your Anting—Anting by your heart. Imagine it filling with light. When you feel complete, say to yourself, “for the highest good of all creation” to close the ritual. Your Anting—Anting has now been activated. You may wish to save your intention card or let a fire transform it into ash and enter the ethers. Feel free to renew the energies by repeating this ritual at any time, trusting that the magic will continue long after the ceremony is complete.
